Premier League bring shocks all over England

Manchester United were looking to continue their 29 game unbeaten run in the Premier League away at the Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal seeked victory at Newcastle United who just sold their star striker Andrew Carrol to Liverpool FC who could make his debut for his club away at Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United started out the game brilliantly with a 3rd minute goal by Portuguese international to give the Red Devils an early lead. Wolverhampton who won 1-0 away at Liverpool and also defeated Chelsea later on in the season, had a lot of fight in them and equalized just seven minutes later at the 10th minute through Elokobi. At the 40th minute the home side took the lead through Doyle and were able to hold off Man United throughout the second half to get the three points and give Manchester United their first loss of the season and end their 29 game unbeaten run. This was only one of the shocks of the weekend.

Elsewhere in Newcastle, Arsenal showed their strength by scoring 4 goals in the first 26 minutes of the game to give themselves a 4-0 lead. The goals were scored by Theo Walcott, Djouru, and Robin Vanpersi (2). The game ended like this by half time. However, after Arsenal’s Abou Diaby received his marching orders by getting ejected from the game at the 50th minute, the most unexpected outcome occurred.

22 minutes from time, Newcastle’s amazing comback began with a penalty kick scored by Joey Barton at the 68th minute. Just seven minutes later at the 75th minute Leon Best scores to cut the lead to 2 goals. Then Joey Barton scores again from the spot at the 83rd minute to cut the lead to just one goal. Finally at the 88th minute Newcastle’s amazing come back is completed with a goal from Tiote.

Arsenal went up 4-0 less than a half into the game but a red card early in the second half proved enough for Newcastle United to score 4 unanswered goals to complete a miracle comeback which will surely go down in Premier League history.

Tomorrow is a big day for two of the Premier League’s toughest teams; Chelsea and Liverpool. Liverpool just sold their star striker Fernando Torres to Chelsea and Liverpool used that money to sign Newcastle star Andrew Carrol and Uruguayan international from Ajax Luis Suarez.

Fernando Torres will make his Chelsea debut at home against the team he just joined Chelsea from; Liverpool. He claimed that he will not celebrate if he scores against his former employers. This is a must see game that will most likely live up to the excitement. The English Premier League is one of the best and most competitive leagues in the world and these two teams are amongst the top five teams. It should be a good one. It will be live on Fox Soccer Channel at 11 a.m. eastern.
