Andres Iniesta: Hero for three teams

Number 6 for Spain and 8 for Barcelona, Andres Iniesta is a superhero on the field for his beloved teams. He has played for club team Barcelona since his teenage years and has been impressing for his country for a long time as well. His best moment as a Barcelona player was during a UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg match up at Chelsea FC of England when he scored the goal that led them past the home side into the Champions League finale. His best moment for Spain was during this past Summer’s FIFA World Cup when he scored the goal against Holland that won Spain their first ever FIFA World Cup Championship trophy. The way he celebrated the goal was absolutely remarkable. He sprinted towards the Spain supporters and pointed to his under shirt which read words about Dani Jarque, who unfortunately died due to heart issues after collapsing on the field captaining his beloved RCD Espanyol. Iniesta dedicated the world cup winning goal to his national comrad. That was a veru unselfish and warm hearted gesture by the classy Spanish international.

Earlier today Barcelona played away at RCD Espanyol in a game where the away side prevailed 5-1 over the hosts. Towards the end of the game, coach of Barcelona Pep Guardiola decided to take Iniesta out of the game and something unexpected happened, the whole entire stadium of fans stood up and began clapping and cheering for him. There was a beautiful banner with a drawn face of Dani Jarque and underneath it read “Gracias Iniesta” which translated into English means “Thank You Iniesta.”

The players on the field for both Barcelona and even their opponents Espanyol clapped as well for the thoughtful number 8. They thanked him for dedicating the goal to the man they adored since he captained their beloved team. It was an absolutely beautiful site to see. Espanyol are also based in Barcelona so there is a love between the two sides and that is why the players from both teams are close. Classy acts such as what Iniesta did during the World Cup is what makes Soccer an absolutely beautiful game. One would hope to see more classy acts in Soccer that will be able to bring more people together and make the World a bit more peaceful. Iniesta is a very respectful player and may he continue to be able to provide good deeds in the future. Hopefully other players and people as well will elarn a thing or two from the hearty Spain and Barcelona midfielder. Best of luck to him.
