The Memphis Grizzlies were about to be down 13 points at home by half time until Shane Battier drained a buzzer beating three pointer by veteran Shane Battier. Led by Zach Randolph who had 30 points and added 13 rebounds, the Grizzlies somehow won the game.
Down ten at the half, the Grizzlies outscored the Thunder by 22 in the second half to win the game by 12. Mike Conley had 11 points and 12 assists for the home side while the visitors were led by point guard Russell Westbrook who had 27 points and added 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Superstar Kevin Durant was held to just 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Memphis were the number eight seed in the regular season and in the first round they eliminated number one San Antonio in six games. Oklahoma City eliminated Denver in five. If Oklahoma were to win tonight, they would have been playing game one on Sunday in Dallas however Memphis showed great heart in their comeback and gave their Memphis faithful something to believe in.
Game 7 will be played Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern in Oklahoma City.
