In Los Angeles, California, the NBA All-Star was played for the 60th time in history and the game truly lived up to the hype it was promoting. The West edged out the East 148-143 in a game that could have gone either way. The West had a 17 point lead at one point but Lebron James took over the East with 29 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds. Lebron James was definitely a top candidate to win MVP honors but hometown hero Kobe Bryant took that honor with his 37 points, 14 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists. Kevin Durant quietly made an impact with 37 points of his own for the West and Amare added 29 for the East.
The game was a great way to end All-Star weekend and in just two days NBA action will resume with teams looking ahead to finishing the season strong heading into the post season which is only a couple of months away.
