While many are still accusing Miami of not being professional basketball players after the event that took place in their locker room on Sunday, a more important factor is being dismissed: Miami are still losing.
Earlier tonight they hosted the Portland Trail Blazer and for the first time this season lost their fifth game in a row. They lost four times in a row on two separate occasions earlier this season and after doing it again against Chicago, they did even worse tonight.
At least some of their losses had them missing game winning shots at the buzzer but tonight they simply lost 105-96. This is their second straight loss at home and for a team who came in with big expectations, the unexpected has been occurring at what seems to be a constant pace.
Lebron James had 31 points and Dwayne Wade added a hefty 38. No one else on the team impressed as much and Portland were able to take advantage.
Miami invested a lot of money into the team this year adding Chris Bosh and Lebron James to lead the team along with Dwayne Wade and for a little while it looked as if Miami would dominate their way through the season but right now they look lost.
Coach Eric Spoelstra admitted on live TV that some of the guys were crying in the locker room after their loss to Chicago. Many people including fans, commentators, analysts, and other athletes degraded the Miami players for their actions. The fact that they are being paid a lot of money to play basketball and crying after a loss shows that they truly are playing for more than the money.
Miami are currently on a slump but will still most likely take part in the play-offs.
